The Project
The backyard fell away from the house at a grade that made it unusable. We terraced the slope with dry-laid stone walls, added a covered patio with a wood-burning fireplace, and ran gas, water, and power for a full outdoor kitchen.
The roof structure ties into the existing house framing, rather than being bolted on, so the cover reads as original architecture rather than an attached pergola.
