The Project
The owners came to us with a difficult lot with a 22% slope, protected trees, and a view corridor worth protecting. The house steps down the hill in three levels so that not one of the mature pines had to come down.
Dark vertical siding and a stone base let the house recede into the hillside by day; at dusk, the glass gables do the talking. The project was completed in fourteen months, including a winter foundation pour.
