The Project

The owners wanted a modern interior without erasing what the street loved about the house. We kept the brick shell, porch, and roofline, and rebuilt everything inside: new structure where a bearing wall came out, new systems throughout, and an addition at the rear that reads as a quiet hyphen rather than an afterthought.

The kitchen is the center of the plan, with rift-sawn white oak, a plaster hood, and a marble island that had to be set before the rear door frame went in.
